X
a score that cannot be determined, as play on a hole was not completed

X factor
the difference in the amount of rotation between the shoulders and the hips (usually measured in degrees of rotation, a phase coined by Golf Instructor Jim McLean in 1993 (i.e. A tour player might have a 45 to 70 deg X Factor)

X-out
golf balls that, for whatever reason, are manufacturer seconds and have the original label on the ball crossed out with X's
